Interview on Digital Production Buzz

So I told a white lie. I said this post would contain substantive content about a workflow. However, this news is too good not to post.

I will be interviewed live on Digital Production Buzz this Thursday July, 31 at 6:25 PM PST.

Instead of writing about what I am going to talk about, I will let you tune in to the internet broadcast on Thursday...

Justin, very excited to hear about your upcoming feature on Digital Production Buzz -- it's great that you'll be able to share the effort going into these updates. I'll be tuning in to listen to the show on Thursday!

I just finally heard the DG Buzz show you were on (I am a little behind on my podcast listening!) and I found the interview to be interesting.

However, I think there was some confusion. Importing and exporting QT movies has never really been a problem, whether they be from Final Cut or AE or anything else. This could always be done in Avid, without the help of Automatic Duck or any other third-party apps.

The reason AutoDuck is around is to take PROJECTS in and out of Avid and Final Cut, which STILL doesn't work very well, Duck or no Duck. I think the hosts of the show were confusing project import/export with media import/export.

Thanks for the info and keep it coming. Too many good blogs die early!
